Mokichi Baker & Sweets

I’d like to introduce Mokichi Baker & Sweets in Chigasaki. Mokichi Baker & Sweets is run by Kumazawa Brewery. Unique brewing products such as bread and cake made with Shonan beer instead of water are being sold. In addition to bread, this shop also sells sake and beer that Kumazawa Brewery made. The shop is very stylish as it is located in a refurbished warehouse which housed sake tools. In addition to the bakery, there are also restaurants, a cafe and a gallery on site.


I bought Raisin Noix, Cherry Danish and Croque Madame. Raisin Noix is bread with plentiful raisins and walnuts and it is the second most popular bread in the shop. Sweet raisins and fragrant walnuts are very compatible. The surface of the bread is crispy and the inside is moist and it is tasty. The price is 320 yen.

Cherry Danish has dark cherries and custard cream on a crispy danish pastry. Dark cherries and custard cream can be eaten without getting tired because the sweetness is modest. It is very tasty. The price is 220 yen.







Croque Madame has ham, cheese and egg on the top of bread and it is very satisfying to eat. It is delicious to eat as it is, but it is recommended to eat after toasting. The price is 380 yen.
